Jari Holland Buck

Jari Holland BuckJari Holland Buck is an Organizational Consultant and Performance Coach with more than 25 years experience in retail, wholesale, discount, high technology, manufacturing and service-related organizations.  She began her career with Montgomery Ward at the age of 15 (when she looked 12 and they thought she was 16).  She spent 10 years with them in a variety of retail and personnel-related positions while she worked her way through high school, college and graduate school.

Upon receiving her Master's Degree from Northwestern University and a spending a year with Wards at their corporate office in Chicago, she returned home to Minneapolis and began a 10 year commitment to Dayton Hudson Corporation (now Target Corporation).  Her final position as National Training Director for Target Stores provided her with national exposure for her work in computer based training programs, buyer training and the design and execution of a training center in California which delivered position based training to 6000 employees in a six month time frame for a 30 store new market start-up.

Jari's career then took her to Kansas City as Director of Human Resources for Payless Cashways where she received a Training Award of Merit from National Home Center News for the "Basics of Supervision."

In 1986, Jari began The Holland Group® (re-named Majestic Wolf in 2001), a consulting practice which has provided her with the opportunity to:

  • Install labor/leadership participation teams with the combined commitment of two unions and two service corporations;
  • Conduct a company wide employee attitude survey that resulted in a major organizational restructuring. Revised 5 and 10 year plans and the prevention of litigation and multiple employment related resignations;
  • Advise a small, family owned restaurant and catering enterprise on multiple operations and personnel related issues including broker selection and sale of the business;
  • Author and introduce, without grievance, the first employee handbook and Human Resource System into this color graphics company through the use of a joint union/leadership team;
  • Coach the executive committee of this third party health care provider through the establishment of ground rules, mission statement and reorganization plans;
  • Introduce a new employee performance evaluation system in a both federal banking regulatory authority and a trust company;
  • Provide high potential, leadership, mentoring and personality type training for a branch of the Federal Government: and
  • Assist more than 1000 clients in job or career changes to effectively represent themselves and "get what they want!"

Jari has been recognized in the International Who's Who of Entrepreneurs, Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who of the United States, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders and Who's Who of Business Executives.
