Who we are?
Mid-America Head Start partners with school districts and community agencies to provide early childhood education services for Early Head Start (ages zero to three) and Head Start (ages three to five) children in three counties — Jackson, Platte and Clay. School districts in these three counties may also have openings for staff through state funded programs such as Missouri Preschool Project, Title I or Early Childhood Special Education.
On April 1, we will host the 2nd Annual Early Childhood Career Fair at the Mid-America Regional Council Conference Center. In addition to Head Start agencies based in Platte, Clay and Jackson counties, we have invited early childhood education agencies from other counties in the Greater Kansas City region.
Who should attend?
This career fair is for individuals interested in working for programs or agencies that serve children from birth to age five. We are interested in individuals who want to work as preschool or infant-toddler teachers, teacher assistants and family advocates (social services) in an early childhood setting.
At this career fair you can learn about Head Start and early education career opportunities, meet hiring managers, and speak with representatives from programs who can help advance your career.
