Five Cities Recognized for Age-Friendly Initiatives
On Friday, Jan. 27, the Mid-America Regional Council recognized the cities of Excelsior Springs, Independence, Liberty, Raymore and Roeland Park as “Communities for All Ages.” The awards were presented at a meeting of the First Suburbs Coalition at Westwood City Hall.

Universal Design in Parks report available
In 2016, KC Communities for All Ages, AARP Missouri, Blue Springs, Missouri, and Roeland Park, Kansas, worked together to demonstrate how the built environment can be made more all-ages friendly through the application of universal design features in a park setting.
