MARC’s GIS staff provide mapping and data analysis to all MARC departments, while also supporting focused roles within particular programs.
The MARC GIS staff members include:
Jay Heerman GIS Manager
Jay has a bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State and a master’s degree from Oklahoma State. Jay works with the GIS staff and Research Services staff to make use of the data that MARC acquires, maintains and distributes.
Jake Goldman, GIS Specialist
Jake has a Masters of Geography from the University of Kansas, with a focus in cartography. Prior to working at MARC, Jake worked as a cartography technician at Garmin. Jake’s primary responsibility is maintenance of the Missouri-side data used within MARC’s regional 9-1-1 program.
Andrea Repinsky, GIS Planner
Andrea graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master’s of Urban Planning. Andrea integrates environmental conservation, land use planning and GIS for many programs at MARC, particularly with land use forecasting to support MARC’s Technical Forecast Committee. She also assists MARC staff with data visualization, analysis and north-arrow hats.
Tina Sikes, GIS Specialist
Tina has a Bachelor’s degree in GIS with emphasis in Geography and a Graduate Certificate in GIS from Northwest Missouri State University. Prior to working at MARC, Tina worked as a cartography technician at Garmin International. Tina’s primary responsibility is maintenance of data used within MARC’s regional 9-1-1 program.
