The Mid-America Regional Council would like to invite you to participate in a Solar Best Management Practices training session. To prepare the Kansas City region for the coming boom in photovoltaic installations, a group of communities – the cities of Kansas City, Mo., Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Olathe, Kan.; Clay County, Mo.; Johnson County, Kan.; and KCP&L – worked with MARC to identify ways to simplify the permitting process and improve planning and zoning ordinances. The resulting Solar Ready KC Best Management Practices are assembled in two categories: nine Process Improvements and seven Planning Improvements.
