Make Air Quality Your Business
AirQ
is everyone’s business.
That’s why numerous companies, organizations, and government agencies across the Kansas City metropolitan area have joined together in the AirQ Workplace Initiative.
Partners in this initiative learn proactive actions that make the air healthier. Many of these actions also save time or money.
If employers and employees support the
AirQ initiative and take a few
simple steps in how and when they go about some of their
daily activities, Kansas City will make
great strides toward clearing the air and
reducing Ozone Alert days.
As an AirQ Workplace Initiative Partner, you
- Choose an AirQ Coordinator. This individual is the primary point of contact for the company, and will
- Relay Ozone Alerts to the rest of the company when air quality is predicted to be poor
- Relay periodic Workplace Tips to the rest of the company
- Develop and implement an AirQ plan for your company
- Promote employee education and awareness
- Display air quality awareness materials in appropriate employee locations
As your partner, AirQ provides

- Strategies for preserving air quality
- Educational outreach seminars upon request
- Easy access to zero-cost resources
- Promotion of your company as an AirQ environmental partner
