Energy Rebate Programs
Rebate programs are a great way to help constituents overcome the initial cost of energy audits and retrofits. There are many different types of rebate programs. Here are some of the programs our partners have created.
Independence
- Has a commercial rebate program through Independence Power & Light

- Has a weatherization program for eligible citizens

Wyandotte County
- Has several programs to help augment the cost of initial retrofits:
- BPU Revolving Loan Program
- Finances up to set amounts for residences and businesses to fund cost-effective energy improvements
- The loan is repaid through the utility bill
- Owners only pay $100 for the energy audit
- Home Efficiency Rebate Program
- Gives home owners rebates for upgrading to EnergyStar? qualified appliances (40)
- BPU Revolving Loan Program
