Administrative Professionals

Today's administrative professional must possess a broader range and depth of skills than ever before. Not only do these staff members serve as front-line customer service specialists for both external and internal customers, they must be leaders, innovators, researchers and technology troubleshooters.

The GTI Administrative Professionals Certificate Program will help you develop and hone your skills and prepare you to better handle these varied job responsibilities or take new responsibilities. Participants must complete three core courses and two electives to earn certification.

Who Should Participate?

This program is designed specifically for administrative professionals, clerks and other government employees whose main job is to directly support management. Learn to create better working relationships with your immediate manager and co-workers; develop your strengths; improve your communication skills, both written and verbal; and build your problem-solving, conflict-resolution and leadership skills.

These sessions are designed to help you develop skills and provide information as you participate in class. Enjoyable activities will help you learn and practice in a safe environment. Graduates of the GTI Customer Service Certificate Program may have already earned up to 10.5 hours credit towards this certificate if they have completed Understanding Yourself and Others, Resolving Conflicts with C.L.A.S.S., and/or Survival Skills for Stressful Times.
