NING Social Network

"Does North America Work?" Conference NING Social Networking Site

Networking Matters

Why did we choose NING for this conference? The social networking site is easily customized and has seemingly endless possibilities to connect people in useful, yet diverse ways.

All registrants are encouraged to join the conference’s social networking site on NING. If you have registered for the conference but have not yet received your invitation to join, please contact ciber [at] indiana [dot] edu (Shawn Connor) at Indiana University’s Center for International Business Education and Research.

The site offers a convenient, effiient way for you to connect with conference presenters and attendees at regional forums around North America. In addition, you will have the opportunity to post your questions and comments - before, during, and after the conference - on the site’s discussion forum.

During the conference on Thursday, November 5, an “e-moderator” will field questions from the regional forums and select the most pertinent ones to ask presenters. At the end of each breakout session and during question and answer periods, the “e-moderator” will utilize the chat room in NING to identify certain regional forums to join the Kansas City session via videoconferencing technology.

The use of interactive technology allows attendees to make connections cross-nationally and cross-regionally. Because the NING site extends beyond the temporal confines of the conference, these relationships can extend far beyond November 5.
