Early Learning and Social Services
MARC has been working with a long-standing coalition of community organizations committed to quality early learning, Partners In Quality, along with Head Start delegates and our Head Start Policy Council, the Regional Office of the Administration for Children and Families, and the MARC Early Learning Leadership Board.
MARC is exploring expansion of Head Start and Early Head Start enrollment to serve an additional 1,500 children and families, additional funding for scholarships for further education for early learning providers, and additional funding for child care subsidies to allow more low-income families to access quality early learning.
Grant opportunities
- Enhancing Childhood Quality Grants are currently available to child care programs in the Kansas City, Kan., area.
