Instructor:

Steven Apfelbaum is an ecologist and educator. He is the founder, chairman and senior ecologist of Applied Ecological Services, an internationally renowned restoration service company.

Steve is very familiar with the Kansas City region, as he was the key leader in the development of the region’s Natural Resource Inventory published in 2004. Steve’s goal is not only to inspire others to restore parts of their own land but also to see restored patches of reclaimed land interconnected across the Midwest in order to create a vast stretch of a renewed ecosystem.
