City and county governments increasingly use more proactive, integrated environmental planning techniques as part of local planning processes – whether related to land use, transportation, stormwater or parks.

This workshop will present lessons learned from a number of local case studies in which environmental planning principles were applied. Discussions will focus, in part, on the effectiveness of MARC’s regional natural resource inventory to support area planning efforts, and to identify opportunities to enhance the functionality of the inventory.
