What you'll learn:
Do you want to green your school but don’t know where to start or what more you can do? Greener Schools, Brighter Futures can help you. Topics that will be covered include curricula, building design and maintenance, energy efficiency, recycling, landscaping, food services, purchasing, janitorial, and transportation. At this workshop you will:
- See examples of schools that have successfully gone green
- Talk to experts in the field
- Learn how green schools benefit students, teachers and the bottom line
- Meet and interact with your peers
- Receive resources to green your own school
This workshop is brought to you by the Mid-America Regional Council Solid Waste Management District, the United States Green Building Council and the Environmental Protection Agency, Region 7.

This course is open to all, but teachers, curriculum coordinators, school administrators and
those involved with finance, purchasing, food services, landscaping, janitorial, building
construction, maintenance and operations will find the presentation especially helpful.
