TIGER Episode 7: TIGER Paves the Way
This video features the pervious concrete on Wabash Street at Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and the porous asphalt at Olive and Emanuel Cleaver II in Kansas City, Mo., installed in late September 2012. Unlike traditional pavement, these permeable surfaces will help control stormwater runoff and filter pollutants. This is the first time the city has tested the effectiveness of these types of pavements on residential streets.
