I-70 Corridor Transit Alternatives Analysis

Completed in 2007

In September 2004, MARC initiated a transit alternatives analysis to determine ways the community could improve mobility for residents, workers and the transit-dependent along the eastern I-70 corridor in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

In addition to enhancing mobility, this project looked for ways to increase the overall transportation capacity in this corridor, provide additional transportation options to serve travelers now and in the future, facilitate sustainable economic development patterns throughout the corridor and around potential transit facilities, and maintain or improve air quality in the region.
