MARC seeks nominations for 2008 Regional Leadership Awards

MARC Regional Leadership AwardSince 1992, the Mid-America Regional Council has annually recognized individuals and institutions that have made outstanding contributions to the region. The recipients of MARC’s Regional Leadership awards have advanced a vision of a strong, healthy region, demonstrated commitment to its growth, and encouraged others to support and work towards that vision.

MARC’s Regional Leadership Awards recognize leadership and excellence in:

Recipients may be current or past elected officials; individuals employed as professionals within governmental organizations; institutions or agencies, including governmental units or sub-units, businesses, foundations, civic or non-profit organizations or educational institutions; or volunteer leaders in public or private organizations. Current members of MARC’s Board of Directors are not eligible for nomination.

To nominate an individual, organization or project, contact Jody Ladd Craig, MARC Director of Public Affairs, at 816/701-8241 or jcraig@marc.org. Please include the name and a brief paragraph explaining your reason(s) for the nomination. Further information on candidates may be solicited by the selection committee at a later date.

The deadline for nominations is February 18, 2008. A selection committee made up of members of MARC’s Board of Directors will review the nominations and decide on recipients. Awards will be presented at MARC’s annual meeting in June.
