Missouri Area Agencies on Aging to host summit on aging and health issues

The Missouri Alliance of Area Agencies on Aging (AAA), in collaboration with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, will host the 3rd Annual “Show Me” Summit on Aging and Health March 27-29, 2006, in Springfield, Missouri. This year’s conference will be held at the University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center. The event hosts over 30 educational breakout sessions on various senior issues.

The 10 member agencies of the alliance organized the summit for the first time in 2004, when the Governor’s Conference on Aging and Health was cancelled due to budget contraints. The alliance, a non-profit organization, re-organized the conference and renamed it the Missouri “Show Me” Summit. More than 600 seniors, senior care providers, and senior specialists attended the 2005 event.
