Disaster Medical Team Member Expectations

• The DMT will hold monthly meetings and at least one or two major field exercises per year.


• Team members will attend all monthly meetings and participate in one field exercise per year.


• The team will take off the summer months.


• Once accepted, members must complete DMT training prior to being activated.


• Team members should make every effort to adjust their schedules to so they can deploy in the event of activation.


• In the event of a deployment, team members can expect to be in the field for up to two weeks. (Physicians will deploy for one week.)

Uniforms

The MO-1 State Team will be supplied with uniforms (navy blue with gray shirts). Members will be responsible for their own black, high-top, steel-toed boots.

The following items will be purchased for each member: 

• 2 State Team T-Shirts
• 2 Golf type shirts with collars
• 1 job shirt (men’s style long sleeve shirt)
• 2 pair of pants
• 1 BDU Jacket (to wear when deployed)
• 1 medium weight winter jacket
• 1 belt

The t-shirts come in Medium, Large, X-Large and XX-Large. Use the chart below to determine your size for other items:
