LEPC Training Information
The LEPC works with members to sponsor exercises to test the area's abilities to respond to hazardous materials incidents. These exercises are both table-top drills as well as full scale events to test plans, personnel and equipment in the field.
Training is offered for first responders including fire, law enforcement, emergency medical, and public works personnel. The training is open to local government and emergency services agencies, particularly smaller agencies and volunteer fire departments throughout the five-county area. In 1998, training was initiated to increase the area's capability to respond to acts of domestic terrorism involving chemical, biological or nuclear agents.
All courses are listed on the Emergency Training Programs page and the Emergency Services Calendar.
