Cooperative Purchasing
MARCER coordinates a cooperative purchasing program that allows EMS agencies to save money on the purchase of more than 285 pre-hospital supply items, including medications. MARCER solicited bids from medical supply firms, reviewed bids submitted by potential vendors, and selected Alliance Medical as the firm that offered the best overall prices and terms and conditions. In 2011 Alliance Medical was acquired by Bound Tree Medical. Bound Tree Medical has agreed to honor MARCER's current agreement through June 2012.
