You’re Invited to MEMC’s 2011
Safety City Exhibit
Make a Supply Kit. Have a Plan. Stay Informed.
Please join us in learning how to preserve your most valuable asset — your family’s safety. The Metropolitan Emergency Managers Committee (MEMC) will feature its fourth annual Safety City Exhibit at the KC Remodeling Show, Feb. 11–13, 2011.
Safety City is a 10,000+ square-foot exhibit made possible by Pat Riha Productions with support from a number of regional committees, local agencies, and city and county emergency management departments.
Safety City will showcase a variety of emergency response activities and vehicles, including fire truck and fire extinguisher demonstrations; Community Emergency Response Team demonstrations; volunteer recruitment opportunities; the Missouri Highway Patrol’s seat-belt convincer; and interactive educational activities for children and families on how to prepare for floods, tornadoes or other natural or manmade hazards.
Visit the Safety City stage, featuring presentations on sheltering-in-place, disaster preparedness tips from the American Red Cross, the National Weather Service, Meet-and-Greets with your favorite emergency mascots and more!
We hope to see you there!.
