FEMA logistics teamCourse Description: This 40-hour course is designed for emergency responders who will fill the role of a logistics section chief. Participants will learn the duties and responsibilities necessary to effectively fulfill their responsibilities in this role. This course includes exercises, simulations, discussions and a final exam.

  • Pre-requisites: Completion of up to ICS 300
  • Location: Smithville Area Fire Protection District, 341 Park Dr., Smithville, MO 64089

Who Should Attend: Emergency services personnel within the nine-county Kansas City metropolitan area — Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri and Leavenworth, Johnson, Miami and Wyandotte counties in Kansas — whose responsibilities include preparing for and managing incidents of greater complexity than those typically encountered during routine operations.

Registration: Maximum attendance is 30 participants per session. Supervisors or department heads should decide who from within their organizations should complete the training. Please submit a letter of support from your supervisor or department head, on agency letterhead, approving your attendance for each session.
