Regional HHW Collection Program

HHW Collection EventThe Regional HHW Collection Program provides convenient access to proper HHW disposal for all district residents. The MARC Solid Waste Management District encompasses Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri.

Residents of participating communities (listed below) may take HHW products to the permanent collection facilities in Kansas City, Mo., and Lee’s Summit at no charge. (Proof of residency is required.)

Residents of participating communities may also drop off HHW products at any of the mobile collections held throughout the year. Fees can no longer be accepted at the KC facility or at mobile events from residents of non-participating communities however they may still access the Lee’s Summit facility for a charge.

Residents of participating communities in the regional program mobile events, regardless of location.

Unincorporated county membership in the Regional HHW Collection Program allows residents of communities with populations less than 500 to access program services at no charge.

*In Clay County this includes residents of Mosby; Missouri City; Prathersville; Randolph; Birmingham; Holt; Oakview; Oakwood; Oakwood Park and Oaks.

*In Jackson County this includes residents of Levasy; Unity Village; Sibley and River Bend.

*In Platte County this includes residents of Tracy; Platte Woods; Farley; Northmoor; Houston Lake; Iatan and Ridgely.
