Be a part of the "Green Scene." On Friday, June 20, Overland Park will host its FREE environmental festival at the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead, 138th and Switzer. Children and adults will participate in hands-on educational activities while learning more about the environment (and animals) between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Schedule of Events Exhibits/activities and booths will be set up along the main walking path at the Farmstead. Last year, more than 2,100 children and adults attended this environmental festival to learn what the city is doing to help the environment and what residents can do to protect water, air quality and natural resources.
