The MARC Solid Waste Management District Grant Program provides grant funds to local governments, private businesses, not-for-profit organizations and individuals for implementing waste reduction, reuse and recycling projects. In addition, a targeted call is issued to local governments for parks and special event recycling containers.

Funds can be used for various programs including education, waste reduction, re-use, recycling, composting, collection and processing, research and development and market development for products made with diverted materials.

All projects must intend to improve and/or expand waste diversion within the MARC Solid Waste Management District, which represents Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties.
