Sewer Availability
Sewer service availability is an important indicator of development potential. Please help us complete a regional map of sewer availability — by subwatershed and by anticipated date of development of sewer infrastructure.
MARC staff provides the draft sewer availability data linked below as a starting point only. The predictions are based on information received from Leavenworth County, Platte County and Johnson County Wastewater, with additional detail added by MARC staff. We need your help to update this data!
Predictions in the map and GIS data are speculative, based on the current extent of development in each subwatershed area. Sewer development predictions have been applied to the entire subwatershed, with the exception of large subwatersheds and areas expecting limited or slow urban development.
Please review the map or data, and send corrections to Andrea Repinsky. Changes and updates may be submitted to MARC in any format, such as paper maps or digital images, but GIS data is preferred. Please review the GIS metadata, and contact MARC staff if you have any questions. Refer to the PDF map for an explanation of the sewer availability values.
