Technical Forecast Committee
Co-Chairs
- Dennis Enslinger, Prairie Village, Kan.
- Heping Zhan, Lee's Summit, Mo.
Scope of work
This committee includes planners from local governments and other organizations in the Greater Kansas City area. Committee members and MARC staff work together to create long-range land-use forecasts for the region. Long-range forecasts predict the future distribution of people and jobs in the Kansas City region.
In 2010, the TFC completed the 2040 land-use forecast. An updated forecast will be produced by June 2012.
Meetings
Committee meetings are generally held monthly on the third Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m.
Meetings are generally held in the MARC offices, 600 Broadway, Suite 200, Kansas City, Mo. All meetings are listed on the MARC calendar and are open to the public.
Next meeting: 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012
