Gender Differences at Work
When we think of diversity, we usually think age, religion or ethnicity; however, each gender has its unique culture. A challenge is that we frequently don’t recognize these cultural differences. The “rules” each gender uses in the workplace are “invisible” to the other. Accidentally violating one of these rules causes stress and increases conflict. Understanding each gender’s culture can get better results and reduce stress without having to work harder.
You will leave class understanding male and female culture issues, how gender issues impact the work place, the invisible rules each gender has for communication and work relationships, and cross-gender communication tips.
You’ll leave confident in your ability to work more effectively with the opposite gender.
