Advanced Photoshop
This course is designed for people who are experienced in using Photoshop.
Building a composite image requires the ability to extract elements out of an existing image. We'll use the Background Eraser, Quick Masks, alpha channels, and layer masks to isolate image areas accurately. Photoshop's vector tools gives more control over the paths around objects. We'll create clipping masks to use layer contents to mask another.
Vector paths can create selections more suited for certain images and to create transparent areas in images to be used with other applications. Photoshop's color tools allow us to create color swatches, gradients, and patterns from scratch. The special effects we can create in Photoshop give us control over type and images. We'll distort type using the warping tools, wrapping text on a path. We'll create layer comps to quickly compare multiple versions. Finally, we'll retouch and restore damaged photographs and simulate painted effects.
