Dreamweaver for Database-Driven Web Sites
This course will introduce you to the basics of creating a database-driven Web site with Dreamweaver. We'll begin with a discussion about the appropriate server-side scripting language to use. We'll then complete a Dreamweaver site definition for a database-driven catalog for a Web site.
We'll create recordsets from the database, and then use the recordset to display information from the database on a Web page.
The course builds more complex Web pages by building a master list of items from the catalog database and then linking each item to a page with details about that item. Forms are commonly used in Web sites and we'll build a form to pull information from the database. Finally, we'll build Web pages that allow users to administer the database by inserting, deleting, and updating records.
