Laws of Leadership: Challenging Organizational Culture

Jack Enter is returning to Kansas City to deliver another thought - provoking, challenging lecture on leadership and what it means in today's organization.

Law enforcement agencies are faced with immense challenges, both externally and internally. Budget problems, finding qualified applicants, homeland security issues and dealing with problem employees are just a few of the challenges facing the law enforcement manager today.

This seminar will focus on how the law enforcement executive can best create a culture that emphasizes integrity and honesty, both legally and interpersonally. A major focus of this course will be a discussion on why most police managers fail to positively impact their subordinates, and therefore fail to create an environment of accountability and professionalism. Proactive strategies will include such leadership skills as self-management, effective communication, confronting marginal and problem behaviors, and creating a climate that rewards honest interactions with citizens and with fellow law enforcement managers.
