Safety Net Collaborative

The Safety Net Collaborative addresses a number of different initiatives. Subgroups, which include people with expertise outside of the working group, have been formed to address specific issues. Depending on the issues, the working group may invite individuals representing different interests to join in the discussion of specific initiatives.

The Regional Health Care Initiative will also form a working group to address expanding coverage for the uninsured and will work with stakeholders on improving the flow of federal funds into the safety net system and other elements of health reform that impact care for the uninsured and underserved.

Mission:

To improve and increase access to health care for low income uninsured and underinsured residents of the bistate Kansas City region.
