Cooperative Purchasing Resolutions

Lee's Summit Resolution NO. 00-12

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LEE'S SUMMIT TO PARTICIPATE IN COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAMS.

WHEREAS, the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, adopted purchasing policies by Resolution No. 99-04, adopted February 18, 1999; and,

WHEREAS, Section 6., Paragraph B. of the adopted policies requires adoption of a resolution each even numbered year for participation of the City in any and all cooperative purchasing programs, deemed appropriate by the City Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI, as follows:

SECTION 1. That the City of Lee's Summit is currently participating in the following cooperative procurement programs: State of Missouri Cooperative Procurement Program; Mid-America Council of Public Purchasing for Cooperative Purchasing (MACPP); Missouri Association of Public Purchasing (MAPP); U.S. Communities National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA), jointly sponsored by the National Association of Counties (NACO) and the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM); and, the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).

SECTION 2. That the City of Lee's Summit shall be authorized to participate in, sponsor, conduct or administer a cooperative purchasing agreement whereby supplies and services are procured in accordance with a contract established by another governmental entity, provided that such contract was established in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable to the establishing governmental entity and to the policies adopted by the City of Lee's Summit in Resolution No. 99-04.

Olathe RESOLUTION NO. ____

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF OLATHE, KANSAS TO SIGN A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE MID-AMERICA COUNCIL OF PUBLIC PURCHASING.

WHEREAS, the City of Olathe desires to participate with metropolitan area governments in a cooperative purchasing program;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OLATHE, KANSAS AS FOLLOWS:

THAT, the City Manager of the City of Olathe, Kansas be and is hereby authorized to sign a Letter of Understanding with the Mid-America Council of Public Purchasing, attached hereto as Exhibit "A," for such purpose.
