Officials to announce new initiatives within Green Impact Zone
What: U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver and Green Impact Zone officials will announce new initiatives for energy conservation and home rehabilitation within the Green Impact Zone:
- Launch of the Green Impact Zone Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program
- Transfer of 23 foreclosed properties from Wells Fargo Bank to the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council for neighborhood rehabilitation
- Designation of $500,000 of Kansas City, Mo.’s, $1.8 million in Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP3) funds to the Green Impact Zone to assist with the 23 Wells Fargo Bank properties
When: Monday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m.
Where: Due to rain, the event will now take place at the Green Impact Zone headquarters, 4600 Paseo, Kansas City, Mo., 64105.
