Telecommunicator Appreciation Celebration 2008: The Silver Celebration

The Silver Celebration, marking 25 years of 9-1-1 service in Kansas City, will shine with lively entertainment that will have you laughing and getting out of your seat to dance, great giveaways donated by generous businesses, and a great meal at the beautiful Overland Park Convention Center.

The 11th annual Telecommunicator Appreciation Celebration will honor the efforts of the 600+ dispatchers in the Kansas City region that play a crucial role in public safety. Receiving special recognition will be those individuals who have worked with emergency communications since the implementation of the regional 9-1-1 25 years ago.

	Pickpocket Magician Gene Turner Gene Turner has performed his sleight of hand from coast to coast for more than 20 years. He has appeared before Fortune 500 company audiences and on countless television programs. Gene’s watch-snatching expertise has been profiled in Magic magazine, and he served as a technical advisor for the film Bulletproof Monk.
	176 Keys Dueling Pianos Show Enjoy a rollicking evening of comedy and sing-along entertainment with 176 Keys Dueling Pianos Show. One moment you’re singing along, the next your falling off your chair laughing! Requests to hear your favorites are not only welcome, but encouraged. Our pianists for the evening have performed around the nation and really know how to get a crowd on their feet and having a good time.
