9-1-1 Day at the Ballpark planned
June 26, 2007
Area public safety personnel and their families are invited to attend 9-1-1 Day at a Kansas City T-Bones baseball game on Saturday, September 1, 2007, as the T-Bones take on the Gary-Southshore Railcats. The T-Bones, members of the independent Northern League, play at Community America Ballpark, 1800 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kan. A buffet dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the game begins at 7:05 p.m. Dinner includes your choice of three barbecue entrees, two side dishes and two drink tickets each.
MARC’s Public Safety Communications program hosts this special event each year to commemorate 9-1-1 Day and honor the emergency communications personnel responsible for processing 9-1-1 calls.
This year’s event coincides with the T-Bones' planned promotion to honor public safety professionals, which will include a fireworks display.
The price is $10.00 per person, which includes the game ticket, dinner served in tents behind center field, and a t-shirt. (You must register by August 3 to receive a t-shirt.) Payment must be received in advance. Registration Deadline: August 10.
Early Bird Offer: Register by August 3 and you'll be entered into a drawing to upgrade to suite seats! The T-Bones organization has generously provided a suite for use by the public safety groups being honored at the Sept. 1 game, and our lucky winner will be able to upgrade four tickets (purchased at the regular price of $10 each) to four seats in the suite. |
