Save the Date: 9-1-1 Day at the Ballpark
Area public safety personnel and their families are invited to attend 9-1-1 Day at a Kansas City T-Bones baseball game on Saturday, August 30, 2008, as the T-Bones take on the Fargo-Moorhead Red Hawks. The T-Bones, members of the independent Northern League, play at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, 1800 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kan. A buffet dinner will kick off the evening with the game beginning at 7:05 p.m.
MARC’s Public Safety Communications program hosts this special event each year to commemorate 9-1-1 Day and honor the emergency communications personnel responsible for processing 9-1-1 calls.
This year’s event coincides with the T-Bones' "Heroes Night" to honor public safety professionals. Prior to the game, emergency services vehicles from throughout the Kansas City region will be available for children to explore. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display.
The price is $10.00 per person, which includes the game ticket, dinner served in tents behind center field, and a t-shirt. (You must register by August 1 to receive a t-shirt.) Payment must be received in advance. Registration Deadline: August 8.
Registration options:
- Register online and pay with a credit card. (If you use this option, be sure to send an e-mail to e911@marc.org with t-shirt sizes)
- Print the registration form and mail with your check to 9-1-1 Day at the Ballpark, Mid-America Regional Council, 600 Broadway, Suite 200, Kansas City, MO 64105.
