9-1-1 Day at the T-Bones a Success
Aug. 25, 2006
Nearly 500 public safety personnel, a sell-out crowd, attended 9-1-1 Day at a Kansas City T-Bones game at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on August 25.
The evening began with a centerfield party and buffet-style meal. Red E. Fox, the local 9-1-1 mascot, made a special appearance, throwing out the first pitch.
To commemorate 9-1-1 Day, emergency communication personnel responsible for processing 9-1-1 calls were honored at the event, sponsored by the Regional Public Safety Communications Program.
The T-Bones celebrated a 3-2 victory over Gary SouthShore RailCats.
