9-1-1 Training Consortium
MARC’s Training Consortium membership program allows agencies to pay an annual fee — based on the number of allocated public safety communications positions in the agency — for unlimited enrollment in 9-1-1 training courses.
Membership in the consortium now also allows agency employees to
take courses offered through the
Government Training Institute (GTI) at no additional cost. These
courses cover topics such as customer service
and supervisory skills. A listing of the GTI courses available through
the consortium is printed in this calendar
with more details at www.marc.org/gti.
Membership in the consortium helps you:
- control your budget by knowing exactly what your training costs will be for the year, regardless of staff turnover. Telecommunicator training for employees, including materials and instruction, is included in the membership fee.
- meet state–mandated requirements for continuing training.
- avoid any increases in course fees that take place during the year.
- document compliance with state and federal regulations. MARC maintains records of basic and continued training for member agencies.
The fee for consortium membership is $195 per allocated public safety communications position for agencies in the nine-county MARC region, and $230 per position for other agencies. A pro-rated, 18-month fee is available for agencies that join the consortium at mid-year.
If you are a training consortium member and need to make changes to your agency's roster, either complete our online form or download the PDF personnel change form.
