Professional Development Series — May

Emotional Intelligence

May 22, 2008
11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Mid-America Regional Council offices

While intellectual intelligence is and will remain highly valued, emotional intelligence (EI) is being recognized as a significant form of human ability. Emotional intelligence involves the capacity to sense one’s own emotional state as well as the emotional state of others. This insight allows individuals to make better choices on courses of action — or inaction — based on the emotional data. Participants in this session will learn EI fundamentals and how to heighten this emotional awareness in themselves and others.
