Professional Develoment Series

Being in a leadership position in a public safety agency is a demanding role that requires not only technical savvy, but also the ability to supervise a team of people who regularly handle life-or-death situations.

The 2008 Professional Development Series will focus on skills that will help managers and supervisors develop better relationships with colleagues and advance their agencies. The practices and techniques learned in these classes will compliment the technical skills professional public safety communicators learn on the job and in formal training.

This year’s Professional Development Series classes will feature catered lunches at the Mid-America Regional Council offices. As always, the series courses will be led by experts in their fields from a variety of backgrounds.
