Public Outreach and Education
Red E. Fox 9-1-1 School Programs
The Kansas City regional Team 9-1-1 is made up of members of local public safety agencies, Telephone Pioneer chapters and concerned citizen volunteers.
These dedicated individuals can arrange for an informative and entertaining educational program for schools. The Red E. Fox program, targeted at children ages 4-7, teaches simple but important lessons about how to get help in an emergency. Topics of the children's program include:
- When to call 9-1-1
- How to call 9-1-1
- What to say when you call 9-1-1
These lessons have been presented throughout the country with terrific results. Working together, we can make sure kids know the right way to use 9-1-1.
Special Events
Public education and outreach volunteers make special appearances at various local events throughout the MARC region (Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte, and Ray counties in Missouri and Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami and Wyandotte counties in Kansas).
Adult Programs
Programs designed for adult audiences are available to explain the following 9-1-1 topics and issues:
- 9-1-1 addressing and mapping.
- How to teach others about 9-1-1.
- Hww wireless 9-1-1 calls are processed.
Our trained presenters will visit your company or civic organization to make these informative presentations.
