9-1-1 Crisis Calls
Course Description:
In a crisis call to 9-1-1, the telecommunicator can help keep a situation under control, provided he or she knows how to deal with the caller. This seminar will enhance public safety communications professionals’ ability to respond effectively to crisis calls. The session will deal specifically with handling domestic violence calls, suicide calls and calls regarding hostage situations. Course participants will be better prepared to handle these types of calls when faced with a crisis situation on the other end of the line.
