9-1-1 HazMat
Course Description:
Telecommunicators can better protect citizens and first responders by questioning a 9-1-1 caller about the potential of hazardous material on the scene. Presented in an four-hour format, this course familiarizes 9-1-1 communications professionals with the various types of hazardous materials that exist, explains the legislative and medical issues involved in a HazMat incident and provides insight on questioning a caller correctly to determine the presence of hazardous materials.
