Basic Fire Communications
Course Description:
Learning fire terms, techniques and protocols makes for better fire service telecommunicators. The APCO Fire Communications course is focused entirely on fire service. This course will teach specific skills, knowledge and abilities for handling fire emergencies. This course meets all associated NFPA standards for communications. Topics covered include introduction to fire service, chemistry of fire service, equipment, communications, terminology, information gathering, radio dispatching, incident command system and special incidents.

Credit: Missouri Certified Telecommunicator Training -- 16 hours
