Police Communications III
Course Description:
This 16-hour course continues the series of training sessions focused entirely on the law enforcement dispatcher. Attending one of the previous sessions in this series is not a requirement for enrollment in this course. Attendees of this course will receive training on topics such as active listening skills, automatic crash notification, EMS terminology for police dispatchers, overviews of Kansas City’s regional wireless 9-1-1 system, history of 9-1-1, cyber-terrorism, HIPAA regulations and how they effect the telecommunicator’s role.
