Severe Weather Seminar

Course Description:

Here in the Midwest tornados, thunderstorms, snow and ice can hit hard. Conducted by the National Weather Service, this four-hour presentation is designed to provide vital information about weather emergencies and their impact on regional 9-1-1 centers. Topics will include the decision-making process for advisories, watches and warnings and how this information is broadcast to the public and public safety agencies. The course will also include a description of various radar images and the storm information that can be gathered from them.
