Spanish II for Telecommunicators
Course Description:
This program is for those who have completed Spanish for Telecommunicators I and/or for those with a beginner’s level of knowledge of simple Spanish phrases. This eight-hour course will start with an initial review of Spanish phrases necessary to identify the nature of an emergency call. Time will be dedicated to the practice and mastery of effectively handling police, fire and medical dispatch from Spanish-speaking callers. Participants completing the course should find a reduced need for interpreters and, ultimately, a quicker response time.
