Handling Vehicle Pursuits
Course Description:
Telecommunicators can be of great assistance to law enforcement in a vehicle pursuit. This four-hour presentation is an extension of the Handling Pursuits module contained within Police Communications I. Using audio and video recordings of actual pursuits, this course will deal with the inherent dangers of vehicle pursuits, the roles and responsibilities of the dispatcher, and officer and dispatcher actions that can decrease the risk to both those involved in the pursuit and innocent citizens who are not.

Credit: Missouri Certified Telecommunicator Training -- 3 hours
