School and Workplace Violence
Course Description:
Understanding what may occur during incidents of school and workplace violence and the implications of answering 9-1-1 calls from the scene can help dispatchers better handle these situations. This eight-hour course will give an overview of recent episodes of violence that have taken place in schools and places of business. These eruptions of violence most often happen without warning, and the toll in human life can be staggering. Participants will be provided tools they can use to help prepare themselves and their agencies to handle these traumatic events.
